- Confessed he would like to be the next James Bond, arguing his latest role in THE TRANSPORTER 2 is very similar with a XXI-th century Bond. (September 5, 2005)
- Statham and his girlfriend, actress Kelly Brook, were both rushed to hospital with injuries after a Nissan collided with their Mini Cooper after swerving to miss a bollard in Sydenham, south east London. Brook injured her back, while Statham suffered burns from his airbag. (January 26, 2004)
