- Was injured in a car crash while shooting PERFECT CREATURE in New Zealand. (July 27, 2004)
- At the pre production stage of DIE ANOTHER DAY (2002), Saffron Burrows and Salma Hayek were both considered for roles in the film. It was also rumored that Connolly, Billy was asked to play the part of a villain in the teaser sequence, but turned it down.
- Is the daughter of highly political, socialist-feminist parents. In childhood, she sold the Socialist Worker newsletter for pocket money, attended marches and rallies after school with her activist mother and stepfather, and even shared her home with striking miners.
