  • Is refusing to pay his murdered wife's family a $30 million civil court award because, according to his lawyers, he did not get a fair trial. (January 16, 2008)
  • Filed for bankruptcy, two 2 months after a civil court jury found he intentionally caused his wife's death and awarded her children $30 million in damages. (February 3, 2006)
  • Was found liable in a civil suit in the death of his wife Bonnie Lee Bakley, ordering the actor to pay her two children $30 million. (November 21, 2005)
