Plans to release a third version of his Alexander epic in a bid to win over critics who originally mauled the movie. (September 11, 2006) Received the Honorary Patronage of the University Philosophical Society, Trinity College Dublin. (September 30, 2006) Was arrested on the night of May 27, 2005 in Los Angeles for a small amount of marijuana possession. Arrested for drunken driving and possession of hashish. (June 1999) Did a tour of duty in Vietnam. Known for the political content of his films, Stone was a member of the Class of 1968 at Yale University along with US President Bill Clinton administration adviser Strobe Talbot and future President George W.
