- Is set to take the lead role in ESPN's upcoming original movie 3: THE DALE EARNHARDT STORY, a project he will also co-executive produce. (February 26, 2004)
- Barry was in fact nominated for the Screen Actors Guild award along with the other cast members of SAVING PRIVATE RYAN. He also earned the award of Breakout Performance of the Year for his role in the WW11 movie of SAVING PRIVATE RYAN.
- Interests: surfing, sky diving, riding horses, fly fishing, rock climbing and mountain biking
- From the age of five, Barry spent three years traveling with his family to places like Fiji, Tahiti and New Zealand on a boat which they built themselves.
