GOSSIP:	Manhattan appeals court has dismissed a wrongful-death lawsuit brought by Aaliyah's record company, Blackground Records, against the music video producer who arranged her doomed 2001 plane flight. (January 8, 2005) Pathologist Giovander Raju testified at the opening of an inquest into Aaliyah’s death that she was killed by severe burns and a blow to the head when her plane crashed two years ago.
